The Tri-Action is designed to cut, pulverize, and finally to force the remaining pieces into the formation wall.
 
Key features are: long tapered compaction style body with three large-relief flutes that allow cuttings, small aggregates and drilling fluid to pass through the body; the leading edge of each flute is hardsurfaced; replaceable jets and carbide cutters maximize performance and tool life.
